Job description:

As a Senior Quantitative Researcher at Wolfram Trading, you will play a central role in developing automated trading strategies. You will work closely with other researchers and algo developers to build our platform and the most optimal strategies. Your responsibilities include:

 

• Development, implementation, and monitoring of automated trading strategies.

• Investigation of new meteorological and energy market sources as well as generating ideas for new machine learning models.

• Working in and developing our automated algo process.

• Analysis of new markets and support for the geographical expansion of our trading optimization products.

• Design and prototyping of new trading optimization products or product features.

• Monitoring and reporting on energy markets to identify trends that may affect product performance.

Requirements for the position

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• At least 3 years of experience in short-term power trading.

• Expert understanding of short-term markets (day-ahead, intraday, and imbalances).

• Experience in setting up, validating, and analyzing algorithmic trading strategies, including backtesting.

• Proficiency in Python data tools (e.g., pandas) or R.

• Primary interest in building algorithmic strategies rather than manual trading.

• Self-organized and able to work independently and in a startup-like environment.
